🎮 How to Play Voxel City
- WASD to move, mouse to look (click to capture the cursor), Shift to sprint, Space to jump
- E gets you into the nearest car and out again — any car, though one that is not yours costs a star
- In a car: W and S for gas and brake, A and D to steer, Space for the handbrake, H for the horn
- M opens the phone: start the next story job or a side job; the yellow beam and the minimap show where to go
- Left click punches, or shoots once you have bought a pistol at Ammu-Block; 1 and 2 switch weapons
- Stars are the heat: lose the police and they fade, or pay the paint shop to clear them at once
- Park a car in your garage to keep it; repair it there or at the paint shop
- Busted on foot: you wake at the police station minus 20% cash. Wasted: the hospital keeps 10%

Voxel City is an open-world crime sandbox in a first-person voxel city, played the way the classic open-world crime games are: on foot or at the wheel, with jobs to take and a police force that remembers what you did. The city is a full grid of avenues, city blocks of shops and apartment towers, two parks, a river with two bridges, a beach and a bank, a police station, a hospital, your own garage, a paint shop and a gun shop. Every car on the street can be driven — compacts, taxis, vans, a sports car and the police cruisers themselves — with a chase camera, real acceleration and braking, steering that tightens at low speed and a handbrake for sliding round corners. Pedestrians walk the sidewalks and run when they should; traffic keeps to its lanes and stops for what is ahead. Your phone lists the jobs: taxi fares against a meter, courier runs, street races through checkpoints, car theft to order, demolition and getaways that need three stars first. Ten story jobs with rising pay, then side jobs for ever. Cash buys a pistol and ammo, a faster car, a paint job that makes the police forget you, and a garage that keeps your car between visits. Hit a pedestrian, take a car or fire a gun and you earn a star; at one or two the cruisers come looking, at three the officers shoot and ram, at five the roads are blocked. Get caught on foot and you wake at the station short of cash; die and the hospital keeps its share. Progress saves on its own, and your score is the cash you have earned.
